It’s actually quite simple; we focus. As an organisation, we focus on our one core speciality, financial communications to the capital markets and financial media. We think it’s a demanding, specialist and vital enough area to avoid any dilution of our skills by distraction elsewhere. Because that’s all we do, we know it very well. Then, individual consultants focus on their clients’ business - and little else. Because of our unique structure with which we have surrounded them they are totally supported in research and administration, leaving them free to concentrate in the one area where they can add the maximum value. And none will ever be lead consultant for more than seven clients. For details of our unique structure, please see the next page. Crucially, we deliberately seek out and employ consultants with strong Capital Markets experience. They come from backgrounds as investment bankers, sell side analysts, communications directors, financial journalism and consultancy. They fully understand not just the specialisms of their work but the wider context into which it fits. Their own experience and Tulchan’s role puts them at the heart of London’s financial advisory community. Our recent client work with some of the world’s leading companies – you can find them on the “Who we work for” page - attracts some of the very best talent to work with us. To encourage a long term and common commitment all Consultants are shareholders in Tulchan, as are many other members of staff. But we are equally interested in developing home grown talent and training the next generation, which is why we place great emphasis on internal education and “training on the job” for younger, newer colleagues. In short; we ensure high levels of client satisfaction by employing better people - and then organising around them to help them work at their peak. |
