“Tulchan was radically different from the very start and remains so today. We originated a unique approach and structure to ensure we deliver a higher level of service to our clients. For a start, our collegiate and open atmosphere, where intra-office advice is easily sought and readily given leads to the development of more broadly based and experienced advice. That advice is even better informed by the fact that although our consultants come from a wide variety of backgrounds, they all have extensive experience in the capital markets. By limiting to seven the number of clients each partner advises, we’re given time for a complete induction into our clients’ businesses and far more time to think and analyse on their behalf. That luxury of thinking time is helped by Associates who work alongside us on most projects and by a fantastic team of Analysts who daily conduct a huge amount of ongoing research for us and our clients, feeding us with up to date information, opinion and material to help us hone and refine our advice. And no matter how experienced a partner is, we still get regular financial training on accounting and client financial issues. We have regular external speakers at our ‘Know How Breakfasts’, leading lawyers and accountants for example, who keep us up to date with developments and best practice.” As a team, we’re proud of the work we do but we are not complacent. Because we expect to be judged on the value we deliver for our clients, we conduct a regular review process for them.
